I bought this as a result of i used to be flying to NY for a five excursion and did not have a carry-on. It held thus much! I wasn't positive of the weather thus I packed garments for heat and funky weather,3 pairs of sandals, books,and lots of alternative things. I had area to spare. Fits simply fine within the overhead compartment, did not have to wedge it in like others were doing. i like the brilliant red color and it moves freely on its wheels. i'm terribly pleased with this purchase. I bought the 21"" continue baggage.
